Sunflowers Vincent van Gogh

€35.00Price

Frame included
Van Gogh painted four still lifes of sunflowers in Paris in late summer 1887. There is an oil sketch of this image (Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam), as well as another painting of two sunflowers, which is also signed and dated 1887 (Kunstmuseum Bern). Additionally, there is a larger canvas depicting four sunflower heads (Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo). Paul Gauguin acquired two smaller works, and until the mid-1890s, before he sold his most valuable possessions to finance his travels to the South Seas, they held a place of honor above his bed in his Paris apartment.

It is printed on premium glossy adhesive vinyl.
